This Medieval Miniature was a replica fashioned after the 1400 A.D. Book of Hours that I repaired. I had fallen in love with it’s size and wanted to make one very similar to it. The original had vellum pages written in a beautiful Gothic script, while mine is parchment paper, that will most likely remain blank.

This was the first time I had blind-tooled anything on a book, but I tried to find a pattern used on other Books of Hours of this time period. I do love leaves, twigs and acorns, so you can find some of these motifs on the book.
